Trunk or Treat?

Tonight was our very first experience with Trunk or Treat. Instead of a regular meeting, Aiden's Cub Scout Pack had a Trunk or Treat night with lots of games and, of course, trunk or treating!  As soon as I heard that it involved decorating, I was all over it. I googled some pictures, and started getting my plan together! We had a super fun time, and I am so glad that Sandy and Jo could join us!

My favorite two parts of the night were:
  1. Aiden playing the cake walk like 40 times so that we could win the cake that we brought. Finally, when he won  he said, "Mom, I won your cake for you. Now we can take it back home." Oh, how I love him...he just melts my heart!
  2. Winning 2nd place in the "Best Decorated Trunk" category! My prize.....a cake! Lol! There were so many cute trunks there with lights, music, and even fog pouring out. I was so tickled to have won anything at all.
Aiden and Susanna are trying hard to win back the cake that we brought!

My 2nd prize winning trunk!

My Bat Family in front of my 2nd prize winning trunk! Notice the 18 month old wearing his mask, and the 7 year old not wearing hers. Grrr.... Why can't my pictures ever be perfect?

JoAnna hanging out with Robin!

I think this may have been the 1st prize trunk!

or maybe this one!

This one was fun and happy!

Kind of spooky...this is the one with the fog and scarey music!

Side view of my trunk!

Robin looks ready to go home, doesn't he?

My Bat Family.....it is IMPOSSIBLE to get everyone wearing the honking mask in at one time!

It was so much fun! I am already making some plans for next year!

Motorcycle Man

My dad stopped by today on his motorcycle. I took advantage of the opportunity to take a few pictures! He is certainly not your ordinary grandpa!

Football and Fall Festival Time!

Well, it is October 2nd and we are once again participating in full-on fall activities while still wearing our short and flip flops! Aiden had flag football practice this morning, and then we went to Susanna and Aiden's fall festival at their school!

Aiden and his teacher Mrs. Smith!

Their fall festival was amazing. I haven't really ever been to one quite like. In addtion to your ususal duck pond, cake walk, and football toss, they had laser tag, a rock climbing wall, paddle boats, and about 8 different inflatable play things! It really was a beautiful day, and I was happy to spend it with Steven and the kids!

Just for fun, I took some pictures of my fall decoration around the house! Hopefully we will be feeling some fall weather soon!
